This is more of a suspense thriller but full of twists! Twist after twist after twist. You'd see some of them coming but you'll still be scared and gripped. In a little way, like Peter Swanson's The Kind Worth Killing.
The action kept coming. Constant twists and turns, what should have been cliche somehow wasn’t. I blasted through this one with my heart racing the entire time.
This book was ok a bit over the top and though it had some good unexpected turns they weren’t at all page turners. The ending was a bit messy

This was an amazing book! The twists and turns never stopped coming, right to the very end. I didn't want to stop listening and couldn't wait to get back to it to see what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a suspenseful read, or in this case, listen. Enjoy!

It started out strong, but was quite painful to get through. I’m surprised by the many 5 star reviews. The author repeats so much throughout the book (we get it...she is a sophomore, she wears a size 8, she has red hair, he has a rodent face...). The twists got old towards the end. I was just ready for it to end.

I reallly enjoyed this book. Stuck at a rest stop during a blizzard with complete strangers. This ranks up there on my list of nightmares! Darby is heading home from college to see her sick mother but the weather is just too much for her car. She pulls over at at highway rest stop where 4 others are already seeking refuge. While trying to get a cell signal, she discovers a young girl in a cage in the back of a van. Whose van is it? Who kidnapped the child and why? Who can she trust? This book is a thrill ride with lots of twists and turns. I can usually figure out "who done it," but I didn't see all of these twists. My only complaint was there were some, what I believe, to be unnecessary details where I found myself skimming over the text. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller! Maybe don't read it before you're taking a long winter road trip alone.
Could have been better w/o the non-chalant dialogue between the kidnapped little kid and the girl trying to save her from the kidnappers. I never felt like this was a real kid. She never acted frightened or if did it was between casual upbeat conversations which made no sense. Maybe if the narrator read those conversations with a scared voice it would have made more sense. But someone discovers her locked in a cage in a van and they 1st want to discuss the kidnappers fast food eating habit and how he laughs at the gas it gives him? ? I never felt like this was a real kid so I had a hard time really worrying for her. I got bored and speeded the narration then had to just skip to the end.

I do not know where to begin. The plot line is so ridiculous, and all of the ridiculous caught by Ashley Darby escapes caught by Ashley Darby escapes were incredibly overdone unbelievable and not jaw-dropping at all. I do not understand what other people liked about this book. I also think that she must have been getting a kickback for every time she mentioned Wanna Pawnee little devil Wanna Pawnee big devil. I could not put this book down. It was so good. The main character is very relatable and you don’t know who to trust. It’s a page turner to the very end. If you enjoy thrillers, this is perfect for you.

Intriguing,fast pace,well character driven.. keeps you wondering ohh what will happen next. Absolutely loved this book a must read!!
