About this audiobook

Dommik was a monster, a Monster Hunter, and an alpha. Part of an elite group that dealt with the horrors of the universe. At least that was what everyone at the spaceport was whispering as he walked by. A Cyborg, a hunter, a beast with eyes as dark as the pits of Hell and the stride of a predator.

Katalina was a nobody who was intimate with death. It clung to her like a shroud, It followed her like the plague, and infected her like a parasite. When she overheard that the Monster Hunter needed an assistant, she took the job. And when the Cyborg's eyes caught hers, she knew getting closer to death might just bring her back to life.

The Cyborg didn't scare her. So she followed him and left fate up to chance.

Contains mature themes.

Excellent story! I look forward to listening to other audio books from this author!

Not your typical pretty boy cyborg or shifter story... a humanoid spider. Good action/adventure romance. Male narrator was OK, but his female renditions were a bit off to my ears. Not the worse I've listened to. Sparkly humanoid dragon beings sound like old new Yorker (Jewish) men. I actually like Holly Jackson's narratives. I find she has a good range of character voices.

Story wasn't bad. I liked the dark cyborg world but it felt rush and too much off an isnta love. The worst part is the narrators, some parts were so cringy I almost gave up but it help me pass time cleanings dishes ??‍♀️.

This female narrator kills every book she narrates. She always sound the same and she never matches the characters in the book or even the scenes.

The story was an okay story but Kat was annoying. The I love and I hate you along with her temper tantrums were childish. Also, first time in space, nails a cyborg(spider) and ends up Prego. Strange girl didn't even blink when he told her that their child would be half-human, half spider but gets a little bit neurotic because she might infect someone with a deadly parasite that she may be carrying and potentially die from that has be neutralize vaccinated decades before.

    Cyborgs and shifters?

Seemed like it would be an odd mix, but it seems like it works well. Pretty good story, interesting world behind it.
