About this audiobook
Twelve-year-old Alice Mayfair has a secret. She’s not human. But who—or what—is she? While Alice goes in search of her past, her best friend Millie Maximus, a tiny Bigfoot with a big voice, prepares for her future. Together they plan to sneak off to New York City, where Millie hopes to audition for The Next Stage, the TV show she’s sure will rocket her to stardom and free her from the suffocating expectations of her tribe.
Meanwhile Jeremy Bigelow’s Bigfoot research has put him on the radar of a shadowy government organization led by a mysterious man named Trip Carruthers. The Bigfoots have something, a chemical so powerful and dangerous that the government will do anything to obtain it. And Jeremy is tasked with securing it once and for all.
In an unexpected twist of fate, Jeremy, Alice, and Millie find themselves facing off at a crossroads. But in order to determine where they’re going, they have to first figure out where they come from—and draw the line between what is good, what is evil, and what it means to be a hero.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5"The Littlest Bigfoot" was so, so good; but this sequel, not so much.Alice finally found a good friend in Mille (the bigfoot child) in the first volume, but in this one, Millie abandons Alice almost immediately to seek her fame on a "America's Got Talent"-like show. Another girl assists her, and Alice is alone again. The sinister government agency that was hinted at in the first book plays a big role in this one, and Jeremy turns out to be a pretty good kid. But much of this story feels forced and faked. The agency was just too preposterously evil in its nature and methodology to be believable. Millie so totally abandoning Alice? Not really believable if you've read the first book. And the story Alice's mother tells her at the end of the book just had me rolling my eyes. The last pages left it clear that Ms. Weiner is planning a third volume, (not released as of this writing). I might read another one, but I won't be waiting on Barnes & Noble's doorstep the day it's released.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Holy cliffhanger ending, Batman. I pray there is another sequel.
