About this audiobook
Milly Theale is a young, beautiful, and fabulously wealthy American. When she arrives in London and meets the equally beautiful, but impoverished Kate Croy, they form an intimate friendship. But nothing is as it seems; materialism, romance, self-delusion, and ultimately fatal illness, insidiously contaminate the glamorous social whirl.
Henry James
Henry James (1843-1916), the son of the religious philosopher Henry James Sr. and brother of the psychologist and philosopher William James, published many important novels including Daisy Miller, The Wings of the Dove, The Golden Bowl, and The Ambassadors.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Juliette Stevenson superbly narrates this striking piece of classic literature. Before listening to this novel I listened to James', A Portrait of A Lady. ( Ms. Stevenson also does a fantastic job narrating that story.). Now finishing this work by James I can fully appreciate and better understand the brilliant way he brings his novels to a close.
