About this audiobook
Mohammed Hanif 's writing is witty and wry-juicily provocative and laced with a plucky, disarmingly charming humorous comportment. A Case of Exploding Mangoes will have readers wondering what really caused a C130 aircraft carrying the Pakistani leader General Zia ul Huq to crash on August 17, 1988.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A gripping story of an incident that changed the course of history for Pakistan for good, A Case of Exploding Mangoes encompasses every high and low that marked the era of Gen. Zia. It says that humour is the best stress couping mechanism, but Muhammad Hanif shows us with his witty writing that it can also serve to enlighten. His humor coated fictitious account of what went into the death of Gen. Zia paints the true image - yes, the people around him were tired of him after putting up with his agendas for 11 years. He had been one of the wrongdoers and he got what he deserved, and had inflicted upon so many before him, in the end.
