About this audiobook
The classic inspirational parable from the top motivation and marketing trainer and #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Millionaire Messenger—a triumphant tale of personal growth and change that will inspire anyone who has ever wished for a second chance.
What if you were handed a golden ticket that could magically start your life anew?
That question is at the heart of Life’s Golden Ticket. Brendon Burchard tells the story of a man who is so trapped in the prison of his past that he cannot see the possibilities, the choices, and the gifts before him. To soothe his fiancée Mary, clinging to life in a hospital bed, the man takes the envelope she offers and heads to an old, abandoned amusement park that she begs him to visit.
To his surprise, when he steps through the rusted entrance gates, the park magically comes to life. Guided by the wise groundskeeper Henry, the man will encounter park employees, answer difficult questions, overcome obstacles, listen to lessons from those wiser than he, and take a hard look at himself.
At the end of his journey, the man opens Mary’s mysterious envelope. Inside is a golden ticket—the final phase in turning his tragic life’s story of loss and regret into a triumphant tale of love and redemption.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a book that's message is sure to stay with you long after you've read it. The book centers on a man who's dying fiancee sends him on an urgent message to deliver an envelope to her brother who has died twenty years before. Promising to do this, the man winds up at an abandoned amusement park. Entering the park under the watchful eye of a man named Henry, the main character undergoes a transformation of sorts. Each attraction holds a key to unlocking the man's past and setting him free to change his life. Highly recommended.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Couldn’t put it down. Thanks Brendon Burchard! Read or listen to it today!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Heart-felt and inspiring. Was surprising at times because his journey wasn't easy by any means. Lot of challenges that were thought provoking. If only more people could be given that chance to see and do the things he did, it might make for a better world instead of the increasingly insular one we live in.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a good book. You reflect on your own life as the main character is taken through his own journey. It reminded me of the book "Five People You Meet on the Way to Heaven."
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A fabulously inspiring read. Will really make you think about, and question some of the decisions you have made in your own life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A MUST read/listen! I don't always write reviews, but for this book, I simply had to. Read this, enjoy it, and take it all in!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Relatable & applicable to life. Excellently written. Utterly enjoyed it.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This is a good premise for a book. You go to a place, a carnival, to experience your past and glimpse your future, enabling you to change while there is still time. However, I felt no connection with the characters at all. There was no empathy, and I found myself getting a bit irritated at the protagonists' resistance to going through this journey ("What happened to Mary? What happened to Mary? What happened to Mary?" really got old).
Repeatedly, I was reminded of Mitch Albom's "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", which was much better written, more compelling and moved me to tears. As a matter of fact, the best thing "Ticket" did for me is to encourage me to read "Heaven" again.
Not recommended. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely brilliant story!!! It made me cry, smile, cry, laugh, cry... I just spent 6 straight hours listening to it. It was so perfect...every lesson learned...every experience described to the detail...with surprises along the way, and many questions. By the end, most of my questions were answered, but a couple remain so I may have to give it another listen or read. I figured out a few plot twists as I got further along in the story but I still was surprised with some of the big reveals. What an incredible, life-changing story and journey. Very inspiring & relatable, with a touch of magic and miracles weaved throughout the story. A must hear performance and enlightening tale of pain, loss, hope, redemption and second chances. Reminds me of a Mitch Albom book, The Five People You Meet in Heaven. ???
