A great book to listen to at bedtime. Sir Derek Jacobi is a great narrator!

I gave this one just a 4 star rating because the songs in between the letters were pretty annoying (imagine 5 times playing for 30 seconds in just one chapter). Although, I love the idea of Tolkien writing Christmas letters to his grown up children. P.S: Thankies Kate for recommendation!♡
Great book for an afternoon Christmas read or listen. Really amazing that the letters started 100 years ago in 1920. Very interesting as it moves into the 20s and 40s during the war.
It would be good except there's music playing between every letter..
