About this audiobook
Annie Barrows’ pint-sized adventurers have captured the attention of young listeners eager for clever and witty stories. Barrows has received multiple accolades, including a starred review from Booklist and glowing praise from School Library Journal. In their fourth outing, bookish Ivy and rambunctious Bean must outwit the most awful babysitter ever—Bean’s older sister Nancy. Ivy uses all of her smarts to rescue her best pal, and soon the two are hatching a plan to prove to the world that Nancy is at least a million times worse than any other babysitter.
Annie Barrows
Annie Barrows is a middle-aged lady who doesn’t talk very much, which is why none of the kids who hang out in her house noticed that she was writing down everything they said. She’s like a ninja, except she’s never killed anyone. Okay, okay, she’s also the author of the Ivy + Bean books—remember them? They were fun!—and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. All of which were New York Times bestsellers, if you care about that kind of thing. www.anniebarrows.com

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5i love this book so much and my freind does.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It’s very funny but it is so ridiculously funny I really loved it
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Ivy and Bean are very realistic characters who play, laugh, fight, and get into trouble. They deal with the same issues that real middle class, 9-year-old girls deal with, like friends, siblings, and parents. In this installment, Bean is 'forced' into captivity with her older sister as the babysitter. Ivy helps her 'escape' and find more trouble. This chapter book has occasional sketches and illustrations that help readers visualize the girls' plight. Readers will also enjoy the ideas that Ivy and Bean come up with for games and activities.
