About this audiobook

Greg Heffley has always been in a hurry to grow up. But is getting older really all it’s cracked up to be?

So I had to just wiki this one to see which one it was - that says much about it's memorability. In this installment, Greg explores the wonders of growing up. EEeep. Boy/Girl sleepovers, puberty, and The Talk. Kinney did a good job of illustrating the awkwardness of this period in Greg's life without making the book itself awkward or cringe-worthy.

I love these books. This one was great but seemed very short. I read it straight through in an hour. The best since the first.

Laughed 'til it hurt, again. Greg hasn't changed at all, but I don't know how long these can go on--middle school is only so many years.....

Greg suddenly finds himself dealing with the pressures of boy-girl parties, increased responsibilities, and even the awkward changes that come with getting older - all without his best friend, Rowley, at his side; Greg has pushed it too far this time in terms of being mean to Rowley and Rowley’s parents do not want their son to befriend Greg. Can Greg make it on his own or will he have to face the 'ugly truth' that he is in fact still very juvenile and that others are growing up around him. Will Greg be prepared to grow up and be responsible and respectful.

So this book is about Greg Heffley and his friend Rowley Jefferson are in a big fight and Greg is trying to get his friendship back together but next thing you know Rowley has a new friend and greg is trying to find a new friend but all the other kids are taken. Greg has looked all around the school and his neiborhood to find a new friend but he heard about two of these other boys and their names are Christopher and Tyson but he has heard too many things about those two boys he doesn't want to here about. So Rowley has a new friend but he doesn't know that his parents are paying this teenager to play outside with him or whatever he wants to do and Rowley doesn't even know about it. The teenager is part of a Cool Brian club where wholesome mentors for boys growing up. One day Rowely's old teenager was on a break and a new teen was there and Rowley didn't even know that a new teen was playing football with him. At lunch Greg was sitting at the lunch table and this guy named Bryce Anderson and a few of his friends were playing a trick on another kid and he said Oh no there is a high pitched sound where is that sound coming from, and he said got all of you guys there was no high pitched noice.

Greg Hefley is a boy who has two brothers and annoying parents. He has to get get through some hard times at school and troubles along the way. The story takes place in a regular town. He pretends to fit in by making up stories that are not true. Unfortunately, people don't believe him or do they? I like this book because it is a journal kept by a boy and it tells about his hard times. It is very funny and full of crazy things. I recommend this book to people who like comics and comedy.

After 5 books, it was not that funny anymore. I still had a few laughs but I'm getting tired of Greg. He just wouldn't grow up. Maybe he was Asperger's or something because he has impaired social skills. Everything revolves around him. He really is wimpy. Bottomline is that the book is still funny but juvenile.

Diary of a wimpy kid is a good book. The characters in the book are very well described but the book does not have a good plot the book is constantly changing. this book is easy follow i always know what's going on.This book is an ok level for me but it doesn't push me that much. The beginning of the book draws you in . When I read the beginning it made me want to read more.I like this kind of topic because I don't really like to read a book with just facts. If the book is not about sports then I would prefer it to be a fictional book.

With Greg and Rowley apart Greg has no friends. In one part of this book Greg tells us that last year on Easter, Gammie won 10,000,000 on a scratch ticket but she didn't win. If you love funny things and graphic novels you'll love this!!!

If you are that typical kid who hates school and that's all you do is play video games then you are perfect for this book. Greg is just that teenager who complains about everything. Thats where the story begins Greg goes to school with frown but it is only the first day is friend Rowley said. Rowley loves school unlike Greg Greg walks into school he packs his things away and goes to class he sits next to the weirdest people he claims. He gets the oldest algebra books passed down to him.The whole school year is going terrible for him. Then one day he has to go to health class he hates health class he tries to ignore what the teacher is saying but he cant when he tries to close his eyes he imagines pictures in his mind.I would givee this book a 5 star rating because most of the things in this book is what teens like to do.

Jeff Kinney is back with one of my favorite novel. These book are so funny and dramatic. I rated this a five star because it's amazingly funny. This time I was anxious for it to come out in libraries. It's a good book for middle schoolers. I have read all of the novels. It is so good cant wait for more.Summery:Diary of a wimpy kid is about a boy named Greg Heffley and his going to eighth grade. As you might know Greg tries not to get embarrass by his brothers and parents. He also had a big fight with is best friend" Rowley" and now there not even friends. So he doesn't have no friends left because Rowley was the only one that wasn't that weird. Greg is not having a good eighth grade year. Then just as it might get worse Christmas comes a long and makes is year. Will Greg have a good year with out his best pal not being there with him.

This is a great book for the young adult or the adult. I thoroughly enjoy it. It's a fun and easy read. The story without the drawn pictures would not come across as well as it does. It's a diary of a young adult during his school days and his family. It doesn't take long for you to connect with the main character.

This series is very popular amognst young teens. After reading The Ugly Truth i could see why. The books are very light and funny. Many jokes throughout to keep you engagaed. I also like that the books touch on so many series topics for young kids like puberty and crushes, but they do so in a fun way. Not too much depth to the story but still an easy read and very humorus.

As with all the books in the series, The Ugly Truth is told through the eyes of middle-schooler Greg Heffley. As with the previous books in the series, The Ugly Truth, does not disappoint in the laugh-out-loud, goofy antics and situations with which Greg constantly finds himself. Greg, the author of the diary (or journal as he prefers to call it), explains the frustrations of adolescence through his writings and illustrations. With the diary style of writing, Greg's stories are to the point with crisp, clear storytelling. The handwriting style font, to simulate Greg's writing in a diary, adds authenticity to the book. The cartoon illustrations not only clarify the story but add to its hilarity as well. Finally, Kinney's choice to have Greg tell his stories via diary, offers Greg with a way to cope with his awkward experiences. In The Ugly Truth, Greg doesn't disappoint his readers as he leads us through growing up – the good, the bad, and the ugly of it. Continuing from the fourth book, The Ugly Truth begins with the destroyed friendship between Greg and his best friend Rowley. Throughout the book, Greg struggles with trying to come to terms with Rowley, never wanting to swallow his pride and admit just how much Rowley means to him. As he is fretting over his doomed friendship and contemplating why Rowley won't come crawling back, he leads the reader through various life experiences. Greg's narcissistic, something for nothing attitude causes things to not quite work out the way he expects. Greg is involved in one mishap after another in this comical tale of growing up. This is a good children's literature book because the stories and illustrations are humorous, witty, simple, and interesting. Greg represents an average child facing realistic situations but with unrealistic expectations. He humorously and candidly faces topics that many adolescents deal with on a daily basis. The simplicity of the stories, the relatable storylines, and the humor with which they're told allow children to feel comfortable about growing – and lets them know they're not alone."

One of the best books I have read in a long time. I laughed and laughed. I have two boys , but I don't believe a kid could possibly find this as fummy as an adult. I just had to pick up the first four in the series.
