2Q, 2PUnfocused language and story makes this a poor example of a beginning reader. The chapters are unevenly written without a clear direction, making it difficult for young readers to develop reading comprehension skills. The story itself is not very engaging nor innovative, which makes it uninteresting for beginning readers.
Introduced my child to name-calling: "fat cows" and so forth. I'm not happy about that.
