About this audiobook

When passion turns into love, three is never a crowd.

A year of wedded bliss to sexy-as-sin cowboy Trevor Glanzer has gifted Chassie West Glanzer happiness and contentment she didn’t expect to find. But when Trevor’s old roping partner ambles up the driveway, Chassie’s life is thrown into chaos.

Trevor never expected to see Edgard Mancuso again, after it became clear he couldn’t be the man Edgard needed. Trevor is head-over-heels in love with his sweet, feisty wife, but with Edgard comes never forgotten feelings, and he is dreading Chassie’s reaction when she learns Edgard has returned to sort out their tangled past.

Edgard wasn’t sure how he’d feel about Trevor’s wife, but the more time he spends with the big-hearted cowgirl, the deeper their connection becomes. Soon the three of them test intimate boundaries together and discover old heartbreaks are no match for their unbridled hunger.

Is the newly formed threesome’s love strong enough to overcome the obstacles that threaten their future?

If you're interested in a book where a wife is lied to, manipulated, abused, and used as a sex toy in her heartbreaking attempt to save her marriage then this book is for you.

Chassie is described as having a low self esteem and even says she's losing her husband, Trevor, to his gay former lover, Edgard, and in order to prevent it she propositions them for a threesome. The majority of the time Trevor forgets his wife is even around. The passion is only between Trevor and Edgard. At one point Edgard grabs Chassie so hard he leaves bruises and Trevor never notices muchless stands up for his wife that he claims is not a second choice and truly loves and can't live without. Her family even tells her she has to just accept Edgard into their marriage to keep her husband. Chassie has litereally no one on her side. The very end the three discuss how they're going to make their relationships permanent Trevor and Edgard talk around Chassie agreeing that they are ok with the threesome permanently. Chassie speaks up and asks if anyone is going to ask if she's comfortable with it. That there tells you everything you need to know about how Trevor and Edgard really feel about Chassie. She deserves true love of her own. I spent the entire book wishing she would tell Trevor and Edgard that the two should be together and it's time for her to move on. It would have been a better story for it.

Rough, Raw & Ready was fantastic! Right from the beginning, I was drawn to the relationship between Chassie, Trevor and Edgard. It was a very sweet and touching romance. It was easy to see the affection between Chassie & Trevor, the affection between Trevor and Edgard and the growing affection between Chassie and Edgard. I loved how Chassie handled the potential wrench thrown into her marriage. She was appropriately shocked and horrified. I thought she did a great job trying to come to terms with Trevor and Edgard without being judgmental. I couldn't imagine finding out that my husband had a sexual relationship with another man and knowing that he still harbored feelings for that man. Even though Trevor and Edgard were together first, they did nothing to exclude Chassie or make her feel like the third wheel. Chassie's understanding of Trevor and Edgard was a sight to behold. I think the author did a great job with the emotional aspects of this story and this was the best one yet.

I gave it three stars mainly because of all of the hotness that it is contained in one book. Hot, scorching, i-need-new-panties kind of hot. The story though, hum came a little short on the plot. The characters were compelling enough, but Trevor was such a jerk sometimes that it took the sexiness right out of him. Chassie was strong and way too open minded for me. lol. Eduardo was hot, kind and sexy. Though, as a Brazilian myself, I have to say that maybe, just maybe, the author may want to do some research before trying to write something of another culture or language that she knows nothing about, clearly. Other than that, good read.

I wasn't expecting this story from this author. Having lived around real working cowboys most of my life I know their feelings on certain subjects. This story would definitely light a fire under most of them and not in a good way. I think that Ms. James did a good job writing such a story and showing a way a menage, m/m/f, could work in the real world. I also love that Ms. James ties each story to the next. The underlying plot of the McKay/West families run through all the books I have read so far. Ms James also has a wonderful understanding of what it is like to live in rural America. It is often hard and requires a lot of back breaking work to make a ranch or farm a profitable venture. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I love the characters, the Wyoming background, and the love of family that shines through each story.
