About this audiobook

London society has its very own Cupid. Renowned horse breeder and occasional matchmaker Devin Baldwin pairs eligible young ladies with suitable gentlemen based on his theory of animal magnetism. Unafraid of ruffling the ton’s feathers, this darkly handsome Cupid doles out tips for bettering one’s chances of meeting a mate that are as pointed as the love legend’s sharpest arrows!

Lovely Amanda Locke, the daughter of a duke, is everything a nobleman could desire, yet she enters her third Season still searching for a match. Gossipmongers’ tongues are wagging, and her mystified family is considering drastic measures to find her a husband. But the insufferable advice of this Cupid fellow is the last thing Amanda wants.

When an earl passionate about horses becomes the target of her husband hunt, Amanda knows it’s time to overcome her fear of riding. With her sister-in-law Ophelia hastening the romance along by arranging riding lessons, Amanda is soon taking instruction from infuriating Devin Baldwin. Astonishingly, in her daily encounters with Devin—who treats her as an ordinary young woman, not a prize to be won at the marriage mart—Amanda experiences passion for the first time. Now, her search for a match takes her in an unexpected direction as she finds herself falling in love with Cupid himself.

Delivering the “potent, sexy chemistry” (Booklist) and witty repartee for which she is adored, Johanna Lindsey shines with this sparkling new novel.

I have read some older books by Johanna Lindsey and wasn't impressed. That's why Let Love Find You got stuck at my TBR shelf for a long time and it was really surprising to me that it was actually quite good.

The main characters were okay. The heroines in books from 80's were so naive and silly that I hated them, Amanda is different. She is probably not the most interesting heroine in romance ever but she didn't annoy me. In the beginning, I wasn't sure if I liked Devin; he was a bit too alpha male for my taste but later on I got used to. And I really liked the secondary characters.

The plot was also not bad. However, I would prefer the relationship between Amanda and Devin to be more developed.

Plus, the cover is adorable. Considering it all, I would give it three and a half star and a second chance to some later books by Johanna Lindsey.

Amanda, has gone two seasons without finding a husband, and even though she is beautiful, she is looking for something special and unique: true love. However she wonders if she will ever find it, as does her family. Amanda is drawn toward a brute of a man, a horse breeder, who has recently started in the Ton's circles. However he is too rude and blunt for her tastes, so she sets her sights on someone else who has a love for something that is her greatest fear: Horses. So Devin, is her instructor on overcoming her fear, but in the midst of it, at fierce attraction grows between Amanda and Devin, and before they realize it, they are both falling hard for each other...but will their love be enough???Let Love Find You is the fourth in the Reid Family series and even though I have enjoyed all of Lindsey's books, except lately....I don't know what it is....I feel at times it isn't even her. I have read her previous books plenty of times...but this one just didn't reach out to me really at all. I had a hard time really getting into the book. The story line was great, I really loved the layout of the plot and I liked the characters but it just didn't ring out to me as a fantastic romance as I know Johanna Lindsey can produce. It may just be me since I haven't been reading a lot lately, however even though this book had some admirable qualities it was also lacking something vital: Depth....it seemed like everything was on the surface, and there wasn't any substance that grabs hold of the readers attention. I am sorry to give it such a low rating....but it just didn't fit into my standards for a good and solid romance....:(

After not being a fan of the first Johanna Lindsey book I tried, I'm so glad I gave her another shot. Let Love Find You was wonderful!

Amanda Locke is a talkative, charismatic girl in her third season who refuses to marry unless she finds love. So far, her admirers have done little to spark her interest. When she meets the handsome and distinguished lord Kindell, she decides that she'll do whatever it takes to snatch him as her husband; even if that means facing her biggest fear - learning to ride a horse. After a bad accident as a child, Amanda has come up with creative ways to get out of social gatherings involving riding. However, as that is Kindell's biggest, and perhaps only interest, Amanda must learn to ride if she wants to bring him up to scratch. The second biggest challenge is getting over her fear to get back on a horse. The first is putting up with riding lessons from the handsome devilish brute, Devin Baldwin.

Devin, an avid horse breeder, could care less what society thinks of him. After a tough childhood with a father he never knew and a mother who sent him away, Devin is determined not to let anyone close to him. It's ironic then that a natural inclination for matching making has dubbed him "Cupid" to the ton. Devin's seen too many bad pairings in high society to want to help couples make a good match. When he notices little miss sunshine, Amanda, having difficulty choosing a mate he steps in at the request of her family to help her win a husband. Little does he know that dealing with the exasperating stubborn girl will change everything he ever thought he believed about love.

With some quirky family members, attempted murder, and a fair dose of scandal thrown in, this book is a fun and delightful read!

Good book. Really enjoyable the development of the characters. Unlikely to have happened in reality, but an enjoyable story.

"a'tall"......Arrrgghhhh! If I had read one more "a'tall" in this book I think I may have screamed out loud. I have been reading Johanna Lindsey for years and lately her books don't even remotely sound like they were written by the same author as her earlier works. I don't know what the obsession was with EVERY SINGLE character in this book using the contraction "a'tall", but it was ANNOYING. It detracted from the dialogues and in turn from the story. Nothing is worse than reading a book where the way in which the conversations between characters are written irritates the reader - it makes you not want to finish the book. Not one of her better efforts.

The Good Stuff Got sick of historical romances a little while ago, so I was at first hesitant at picking this one up. However, I am glad I did, this one was quite sweet Not at all shmaltzy or mushy Amanda actually behaves like someone of her time and station would (with a little extra fire of course) Devin sounds totally delicious and I might have had a few little fantasies about him -- hey I've been married for 19 years, a girl has to have a little fun you know Quite a bit of humour for a historical romance, which was a nice surprise I actually really liked the character of Amanda, she would be someone I would have liked to hang out with during this time period Good chemistry between Devin and Amanda -- lots of steamy looks and fiery dialogue Also really enjoyed the relationship between Amanda and her father." Perfect beach read Must read the book about Rafe and Ophelia -- it sounds like it was a hell of a storyThe Not So Good Stuff Things tied up a little too quickly - felt a little rushed at the end Storyline drags a little bit at the beginning Love scenes were very brief and not a lot of themFavorite Quotes/Passages"Devin shrugged. "Can't deny it's amusing, but it's not something I set out to do. It just fell in my lap. But there's no luck about it, it's simple animal magnetism that makes for a great match. A man and a women have got to want to rut, but after the rutting, they've got to have something in common or their happily ever after falls apart.""Devin laughed. "You're his baby sister. He's not going to discuss desire with you.""He swore to himself that night that he'd never cry again ... or love anyone again. It hurt too much."Who Should/Shouldn't Read Fans of Lindsey's previous works will obviously enjoy Perfect for anyone wanting to escape with some romance while at the beach Also it you like historical romance, this is obviously perfect for you4 Dewey'sI received this from Simon and Schuster in exchange for an honest review

Cupid...really? thought this story could have had a stronger base and found the wrap up at the end a little too quick. Not one of my favorite Johanna Lindsey noves......what happened Johanna? this isn't up to your usual standard.
