ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR FANTASY TALES OF ALL TIME.
An ancient evil is stirring, intent on the complete destruction of all life. The Druid Allanon sets out on a dangerous journey to save the world, reluctantly aided by Brin Ohmsford, daughter of Wil Ohmsford-for she alone holds the magic power of the wishsong. But a prophecy foretells doom, as evil nurses its plan to trap the unsuspecting Brin into a fate far more horrible than death.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/52.5 stars. I don't know. It's not bad but the characters just bored me. They're very one dimensional.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Continues the story of the children of Shannara. This is all about Walker Boh's quest to find the black elfstone and to restore Paranor. We are introduced to a new character, Quickening. The ending was semi-predictable, but it was interesting.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Terry Brooks follows the same pattern in each episode of a series. He takes up to 100 pages to get in motion, explain all the characters, relationships and history. If you manage that far, you're in for one heck of a read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The second book in the Heritage series, featuring Walker Boh. This book takes a bit of a strange turn, continuing the exploration of the Four Lands into even stranger areas. A
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book has to be my all time favorite of Terry's. It covers the main adventures of Walker Boh, and how he must recover the black elfstone. It's brilliantly written, with memorable characters, such as Pe Ell and Quickening, and a great storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. So go Read it! Ready? Set? Go!
