    Teenager scoops ‘power of sailing’ award

    A youngster who found solace in sailing while battling an aggressive cancer has won the Panerai Challenger Trophy for 2020.

    Ben Tylecote, aged 16, has been awarded a £5,000 grant to continue his development in sailing, and scooped £10,000 for Rutland Sailing Club to purchase new equipment that further supports junior sailors or windsurfers.

    The award was created by watchmaker Panerai and the Royal Yachting Association’s OnBoard programme to promote the power of sailing in positively impacting young people’s lives.
