Certain moments stand out vividly in Ashley Sneddon’s memory of her educational journey.

Like the time during senior year in high school, when she realized college might be possible after taking an English Accuplacer test in one of her courses.

Neither of her parents had the opportunity to pursue a college degree and as a high school senior, she wasn’t sure it would be possible for her either. Until, that is, a high school counselor told her she achieved the highest possible score on the English exam and recommended she take others.
