The choice America faces

They are calling it the most consequential election in America’s modern history. On November 3, millions will head to the polls to choose between a sober 78-year-old former vice-president and a 74-year-old unhinged megalomaniac. The choice facing Americans is an indictment on a nation whose citizens deem it the greatest democracy in the world.

The fact that the options are limited to two men in the twilight of their lives is bad enough, but that it is still a race when one of the candidates is certifiable is beyond comprehension.
