Ah, the sounds of my childhood. The noises of Asterix. I particularly love “ptui”, the sound of spitting. Only the French could be so elegant.
The recent death of artist Albert Uderzo sent me back to the books, static, but my God, those Gauls are vivid – yelling, running, punching, skidding to a halt and eating greasy wild boars with their bare hands, by Toutatis!
