    Dear FYSA,

    I have read in some agents’ bios that they are also writers and working on their own books to shop around to agents. So that makes me wonder if agents can represent themselves when trying to sell their own book. And if this can be done, should it be done, or are there better options?

    Oh I love this question. Is it a bad idea to agent one’s own project? Like, are all of the physicians sick? Are all of the cobbler’s kids barefoot? Is the haberdasher’s husband bald?

    In my opinion? Yeah. Those folks are.
