Island BOUNTY

“An island escape is just what the doctor ordered,” I think as I wait to check in at Auckland Airport. Sun, white-sand beaches, aqua water, hikes and history are exactly what I’m looking forward to on Norfolk Island.

But, the best-laid plans… With ex-tropical Cyclone Uesi in the area, hiding the sun and sights for a day or two, I instead discover that while the tiny islet may be famous for its history and Bounty mutineer descendants, it has another bounty entirely that begs to be explored – its food!
