Two Sessions Face Postponement

The annual sessions of China’s top legislature, the National People’s Congress (NPC), and the top political advisory body, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), dubbed the Two Sessions, are likely to be postponed due to the current epidemic in China.

In December 2019, it was agreed that the NPC’s annual gathering would start on March 5. Customarily, the CPPCC annual session starts on March 3.
