Christie Goodwin is a British photographer with a career that has spanned over 35 years. She took a degree in art photography and began shooting fashion assignments, before taking a career break to start a family. She subsequently returned to photography and mainly worked in the field of fine art for about a decade, with regular exhibitions showcasing her work.
In 2005 she was commissioned to shoot a live performance and realised she had found her calling. Since then she has photographed artists performing live, and also shoots portraits for commercial and album cover use.
She has worked with Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran, Rod Stewart, One Direction, Robbie Wiiliams, Queen & Adam Lambert, Boy George & Culture Club, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and many more. When she’s not on the road, Christie regularly works as an official photographer for the Royal Albert Hall in London, and also shoots book covers for bestselling crime novels.
It took Christie Goodwin until she was in her 40s to find her true vocation: photographing musicians. Although she had already been a photographer for over 20 years, a chance commission from the manager of the rock band Status Quo took her career in a whole new path.
