A private document has a URL containing a secret code. To access the private document, a person has to use the secret URL. A private doc isn\'t visible on Scribd except to you and whoever you give the secret URL to. A private doc will never appear in the popular documents list or in the browse documents section. If you want to share your document with specific people, you can email or send them the secret URL to access it (simply copy and paste the URL from the document page).
