European Multicultural Landscapes Included in this issue:

> Mobility to England Mobility To England
On the 14th November, partner schools from Poland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Cyprus and Greece descended upon The Abbey School in Faversham, Kent for the first mobility of the European Multicultural Landscapes project. Pupils from all the schools, as well as their teachers visited the local cities of Canterbury and Rochester, along with their cathedrals as part of the project, for which all schools were given a Comenius grant. The partners also spent a day within the school itself, allowing students to spend time together playing games and making friends, and the teachers to exchange ideas and experiences. As well as an introduction to British culture, students at The Abbey were given an insight into all the cultures they have yet to experience throughout the duration of this two year project. But it was not all project work, as students spent the day in London as part of the project s wider aims of cultural exchange. The guests enjoyed an open bus tour of the city which took them to all the major sites, such as Big Ben, the London Eye, and Trafalgar Square. Some of the photos from the visit can be seen in the centre pages of the newsletter, with thanks to all those partners who have submitted photographs.

Logo Competition Winner!

After some stiff competition, we can reveal that the winner of the project logo completion is from IES "MEDINA AZAHARA" school in Cordoba, Spain. The logo is already in use, including at the top of this newsletter, and will be used for the duration of the two year project. All partner schools submitted a top 5 selection of their best entries, after holding their own competition within the school. This selection was presented to the students representing each school at the mobility to England during their visit to the host school, with each student voting for their favourite. A selection of the entrants from each school are included at the end of the newsletter. Congratulations to our winner, and all those who made it through to the final selection!
