f you want to go back time, living in the epoch of Christopher Columbus, go and
visit the San Blas Archipelago in the Republic of Panama. t's an archipelago
formed by 365 slands, inhabited by Kuna ndians who have kept their customs
simple and communal for centuries. And if you like colorful clothes, the Kuna
ndians are famous for their "molas multicolored quilt- like fabrics combined by
which women fabricate their blouses.
The reefs that surround San Blas are of particular interest, a great many of them,
are the last in the world that conserve their original marine life. This has made the
Smithsonian nstitute from Washington D.C., to establish facilities in San Blas for
research and investigation.
