1-Causa unionis: Introducción. Conceptos eclesiológicos y políticos. Las causas del Cisma
de 1378. Los orígenes del pensamiento conciliar. El Cisma entre Pisa y Constanza. La
convocatoria del Concilio de Constanza, el poder imperial y los procesos de deposición de
los Papas. La organización del Concilio en nationes. La interpretación del decreto Haec
sancta synodus: entre teología, derecho canónico e historia. La Notstandstheorie y sus
problemas. La plenitudo potestatis y la visión de canonistas y teólogos (Jean Gerson, Pierre
D’Ailly y Francesco Zabarella). El concepto de repraesentatio. Las actiones sinodales: entre
símbolo e indicio.
2-Causa fidei: El proceso contra Jan Hus. La Reforma en Bohemia. Los orígenes del
conflicto y sus actores. La crisis sobre las indulgencias y el viaje a Constanza. El proceso en
bajo la autoridad papal y bajo la autoridad conciliar. La comunión bajo las dos especies.
Los casos de Wyclif y Jerónimo de Praga. El ordo iuris y la construcción del factum
