The challenge
We live in momentous times. Our society as a whole has never been more prosperous. Yet despite the
many impressive and far-reaching advances achieved over the last century, we still face many challenges
such as poverty, inequality, economic and social instability, overpopulation and climate change. These
challenges call for dynamic, visionary and highly capable leaders, committed to addressing the worlds
complexities through intelligent, well-developed management skills.
The solution
The most effective leaders are able to use a broad understanding of management to translate specific
domain knowledge into practical and innovative outcomes. This is the essence of the Oxford 1+1 MBA
programme, which offers students the unique opportunity to gain the depth of an Oxford Masters
degree with the breadth of an MBA.
The Oxford Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship will support up to five extraordinary individuals each
year to realise their passion to address world-scale social challenges. Through the degree, students will
acquire skills and networks that enable them to create a real difference as effective and transformative
leaders of the future.
