The book: A story about a passion that turned mad two lovers

Wuthering Heights
Everything on the
book started with Mr.
Earnshaws trip to
Liverpool. When he
returns he brings
home a poor orphan
child who had no
home. And soon in
his heart grows a
deep love for the boy
that becomes even
bigger than his love
for his other son,
Hindley.

Catherine and
Heathcliff were
both kids when one
night, they
discovered
Thrushcross
Grange. It was four
miles away, they
and sneaked in the
yard, spying at
Edgar and Isabella
Linton, both kids as
well.
They, were caught and
tried to run, but
Catherine was bitten by
a dog, so her condition
forced her to stay until
she was capable of
returning home.
A month later she was
back at the Heights,
but something had
changed. Catherine
learned what really was
society and life. She
now needed to marry a
man that could offer
that to her, and for
certain that wasnt
Heathcliff.
She also returned with
education, so she didnt
want to play outside as
she used to do with
Heathcliff, because
apparently now,
Catherine was a lady.
A brief time later, when
she was saying to Nelly
that marrying heathcliff
would degrade her, the
boy heard the whole
conversation, felt
humiliated, and ran
away, vowing
vengeance to
Catherines fiance,
Edgar Linton.

Heathcliff at the beginning
meant no harm to the
Earnwshaw family. He was just
a boy discovering a new world
outside Liverpool. But he
gained the love of Mr.
Earnshaw, and in turn, the
envy and resentment of
Hindley, the firstborn.
The bad guy, Heathcliff
When Heathcliff returns to
Wuthering Heights he appears
to have education and a
decent amount of money.
He used Edgar Lintons sister,
Isabella, to tease Edgar by
marrying her. She was also
mistreated by the new, full of
anger, Heathcliff. She ran away
to London and gave birth to
Heathcliffs child, Linton.
Heathcliff hated Linton as
much as he did Isabella and
the only potential he saw on
the ailing and weak boy was to
use him to take control of
Thrushcross Grange.
Linton as a vengeance
weapon
After Catherines death, he
succeeded making Cathy and
Linton get married and inherit
the Grange. But he went mad
talking to Catherines ghost and
begging her to haunt him and
never leave him alone. Soon
after that, he started refusing to
eat. Then, after spending a night
walking on the moors, he was
found dead in his bedroom by
Ellen, the housekeeper. And
Cathy got what belonged to her:
Wuthering Heights.
The love Catherine and Heathcliff shared was bigger than they could have ever beared. From
the beginning it was an impossible relationship. They started as friends, but the new Catherine
after the incident at Thrushcross Grange had new priorities and desires. She chose to marry the
wrong man, the one who had everything life could offer to her, instead of the love of her life,
and with time, that decision turned her life into misery and pain.
Her health failed, and the appearances of Heahtcliff at the Grange led her to insanity.
Then, her death turned Heathcliff into a man with the only aspiration of taking Edgar Lintons
state from him. Heahtcliff never overcame Catherines death, and soon went mad too talking to
her ghost. At the end they ended metaphorically together, because their tombs were side by
side at the graveyard.
Love between Catherine and Heathcliff
Hindley, after the death of
Mr. Earnshaw, started
abusing of Heathcliff and
making him work as a
servant. The poor boy was
constantly discriminated
and mistreated, and that
increased his hate for
Hindley every passing day.
Heathcliff fell in love with
Catherine, but she denied
marrying him. Hindley had
an outcome as a compulsive
drinker, and after he died,
Heathcliff ran away, to later
return as a changed man in
seek of vengeance.

Linton pretended to
love Cathy because he
feared Heathcliff
Emily Bront was born

and poet, who got famous
by writing a solitary novel,
Wuthering Heights, which
is now considered a classic
of English literature.

all of them writers. She

A little about the author
Emily Bront
Cathy was raised in
Thrushcross Grange as a girl of
society. She fell in love with
her cousin Linton, but he
never loved her, because
Heathcliff was forcing him to
maintain the lie until they got
married. He had a weak health
and after his death, Cathy
started to teach Hareton (son
of her uncle Hindley and his
wife Frances) how to read.
Cathy considered Hareton an
ill-mannered boy, but with
time she started to see him
differently and fell in love with
him. Unexpectedly, they
planned their wedding to
happen on New Years Eve at
the end of the book.
Cathy and Hareton,
unexpected romance
Wuthering Heights is a
story of passion and
vengeance. The temper of
the character Heathcliff will
make every woman love
and hate him at the same
time, because he was the
reason of almost every
problem in the story, and a
new definition of the
famous Blue Prince.
Actually he was the villain
of the story, but every
reader may agree that he
was also the man Catherine
shouldve married.
