Supplies

Thin washcloth.
Glue
Scissors
Cardstock (or business card, not mine, LOL)
Foam Sheets (I use Creative Hands)

Let’s get started.

TIP: Wash it first to make it softer.

Fold your washcloth in half. Pin pattern to washcloth and cut out
your robe.

Cut up the middle on the “front” side.

Fray check the edges. Hem the bottom of the robe and the two
sides of the front.

You don’t need to hem the sides all the way up, just to where your
collar will be.

Right sides together, glue the sleeves and sides. Let dry.

TIP: You can cut out your cuffs, collar, belt and
pockets while the glue is drying.

When dry, turn your robe right side out.

Cuffs

To add a cuff to your robe, take a strip of fabric. I used a side of the
washcloth where it has a hem. The side of the strip that is not
“finished” turn it over so that you have a clean finish on both ends.
Cuff Collar
Glue to sleeve.

Collar

Cut another strip of the washcloth. Once again I cut a strip

that has the hem. Glue the unfinished edge of the strip
inside of the robe. Do this all the way around for the length
of your collar. My strip for the collar is approximately 4
inches.
Pockets

If you want pockets, cut out a square about one inch. Glue a
hem all the way around. Glue on robe.

Belt

I cut along one side of the washcloth right up against the

hem. Glue to each side of the robe. Draping

If you want to make a belt loop, take a piece of bunka same Now comes the highly scientific draping, LOL Spray your robe
color as robe. Place the belt on the robe. Allow for a little bit with hairspray (I use Aqua Net) Scrunch your robe with your hand
of the belt to hang in the back to give it a natural look. Cut up an down the robe. It’s ready to hang or throw on a chair.
about 3/4 of an inch or so of bunka and loop it around the
portion of the belt that will be glued at the sides. Slippers

I discovered that the nose pads for glasses are a great shape for
soles! The padded ones are great for slipper soles or you can use
foam sheets or cardboard. Trace the sole pattern onto some foam
(or cardboard) for the bottom of the slippers and then cut out.

Spread glue on the cutout and on the edges and place some of the
washcloth fabric on it. Trim off excess fabric.

Now trace the pattern for the top of the slipper on some cardstock
(I actually used a business card). Cover with glue and place some
of the washcloth fabric on it. Trim off excess fabric leaving enough
to glue on the inside of the cardstock to give a nice finish. Bend the
cardstock to get it some shape. Glue onto the sole of the slipper.

You’re done! I hope you enjoyed this fun and easy project!
