GARRAPINYADES ALMONDS

INGREDIENTS: - Raw almonds with skin. - Sugar. - Water.


PREPARATION: We put the almond we have in a cup or in a glass to measure them. We put them in a casserole (if it is made of iron, much better). We put the same measure of sugar (if we have two almond cups, we put two sugar cups). We also put half of the almond and water measures weve got. In this case, it would be one water cup. We put the casserole on the stove till the syrup is prone to thicken. Then, we turn down the stove and we continue stirring. We will see that the water evaporates and the sugar solidify. Its ok, dont you worry. We have to continue stirring. Soon, we will see that the sugar melts, and it turns into a candy. When the almonds will be full of this candy, they are ready. We put them on a marble, and while the almonds get cold, we can separate them. To preserve them well, we keep them in a glass jar.
